Simple steps to make your flowers last longer

Hello everyone. When you receive beautiful flowers, have you wondered how to make them last longer? With gentle care, they can last for 5-7 days longer! Here are the simple steps.

1. Prepare a clean vase with cool water

Wash the vase with dish soap and warm water. How clean does it have to be? I like to clean my vases to the point I feel comfortable drinking from them. ^-^

2. Cut 1/2 to 1 inch off the bottom diagonally, and repeat every 1 - 2 days

Cutting the stems at an angle lets water go up to the flowers more easily. Stems heal themselves like our human body. So recutting the stems every 1 - 2 days will help them drink water, and stay fresh longer.

3. Place the flowers in a cool place

Flowers like cool places. They do not like heat, fireplace or direct sunlight.

4. Change the water every day

Flowers are live creatures too. They drink and live just like us. Remember to clean the vase (i.e their home) and refill it with fresh water everyday.

5. Say "thank you" and smile to the beautiful flowers

Taking care of flowers is a mindful daily routine. When we take care of them, we are pampering our hearts too.
Let's be gentle to the flowers and ourselves.
